As Regulation 44 independent visitors, we provide impartial monthly monitoring of children’s homes. We review records, speak with children and staff, and check that safeguarding, care standards and regulations are being met. We identify good practice, highlight concerns early and give clear, practical feedback to help registered managers and providers improve outcomes for children.
As Regulation 44 independent visitors, we support the Responsible Individual and provider by offering an impartial view of how the home is operating in practice. Each visit, we review records, policies and care plans, speak with children and staff, and check that safeguarding, welfare and regulatory requirements are being met. We highlight strengths, identify any shortfalls early and provide clear, practical recommendations so leaders can take timely action, evidence compliance and continuously improve outcomes for children.

Ofsted-Compliant Reporting
Our Regulation 44 reports are written to be fully compliant with Ofsted requirements. Each visit results in a clear, evidence-based report that reflects the home’s practice, safeguarding and regulatory compliance. Once completed, we share the report promptly with all relevant parties – Ofsted, placing and host authorities, Responsible Individuals, Registered Managers and other key professionals – so everyone has a transparent record of findings, actions and progress.
Supporting the Registered Manager
We work directly with Registered Managers to support them through every stage of improvement and development. Following each Regulation 44 visit, we talk through our findings, agree clear actions and offer practical guidance tailored to the home. We act as a sounding board, helping managers reflect on practice, strengthen safeguarding and leadership, and build the evidence they need to demonstrate sustained progress to Ofsted and placing authorities.

We adhere to and manage every Regulation 44 visit within the parameters of Ofsted regulations and national standards. Our visits are planned and carried out in line with current legislation, focusing on safeguarding, welfare and quality of care. We review records, practice and leadership against these requirements and provide clear, evidence-based feedback so providers can demonstrate compliance and make continuous improvements.
Our Commitment
We are committed to delivering Regulation 44 visits with the highest standards of quality and professionalism. Every visit is carried out with integrity, independence and respect, ensuring our findings are fair, evidence-based and clearly communicated. As a company, we invest in ongoing training, reflective practice and robust quality assurance so that our work consistently supports providers, protects children and meets Ofsted’s expectations.
